Who we are

Josh Pollock

Director

Josh Pollock is a leading expert on property matters relating to renewable energy projects, with over 30 years’ experience in the energy sector. Since 2000, his work has been predominantly focused on advising across all forms of renewable energy.

He has acted for landowners on some of the UK’s largest wind and solar developments, providing strategic advice on options, leases, acquisitions, and disposals across multiple jurisdictions. Josh continues to manage a number of these sites, including the oldest operating wind farm in Europe.

Notably, Josh led the development of the UK’s first subsidy-free solar park. Working in joint venture with landowners, he guided the 50MW project from initial concept, through grid negotiations, planning, and design, to its eventual sale as a fully consented, ready-to-build scheme.

In addition to his project work, Josh has played a significant role in shaping industry knowledge. After many years advising the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers on renewable energy matters - alongside lecturing and contributing to professional publications - he was appointed Junior Vice President in 2025 and is due to serve as President for 2027–2028.

Andrew Sprawson

Director

Andrew Sprawson joined Pollock Associates in 2009 having previously work for a wind farm developer identifying and negotiating for potential sites. Andrew has twenty years of property experience in the renewable industry and since joining Pollock Associates he has been involved with the promotion and negotiation of wind, solar and battery projects, along with other technology sites on behalf of landowners.

Andrew has overseen the build of several wind farm sites on behalf of clients, which he now manages, and has undertaken a considerable number of solar site audits on operating projects for the asset owners, to assess their compliance with property and planning requirements.

In the last few years Andrew has been heavily involved with numerous potential solar and Battery projects, in addition he is now currently engaged with the renewed interest in wind farm projects in England.

Andrew attended the Royal Agricultural College and then qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1993. Originally working in land agency, he was primarily involved with agricultural agency and property management services for both private and institutional clients. He then moved into the telecommunications industry focusing on the acquisition of sites and finally into renewable energy in 2006.

Letty Johnson

Assistant Land Agent

Letty joined Pollock Associates in May 2025 as an Assistant Land Agent, having graduated from the Royal Agricultural University in 2024, with a BSc (Hons) in Rural Land Management. During her studies, her focus was geared toward the renewables sector, completing her dissertation on the barriers to large scale solar developments in the UK.

Letty supports Josh and Andrew across a range of professional activities, including, site identification and appraisal, commercial negotiations, stakeholder engagement, agreement documentation and the ongoing management of operational sites. She is currently working toward both her RICS and CAAV qualifications.

A note from Letty, 'I feel privileged to combine my interest in land agency with the need to deliver renewable energy, helping to secure the future for my generation and those to come. I feel we are on the cusp of real change, and I'm eager to be part of a movement that uses land wisely and effectively - exciting times ahead'.
